New Castle and The Dogs

Morning in New Castle...

My pedal reflects
the rising
sun.

A quick spin
in the country
before
work.

Spinning through town...

Why are these women
so intent
watching the demolition
of the old
Penneys?

At work I proudly wear my jersey -

Celebration of the one month anniversary
of the great bike ride
across America.

Riding home I fall off my bike

going up the hill to town.

My chain is all crunched up.

Uncrunched...

but limping

I tenderly
ride on up
to
Broad Street.

Glad to see

major renovation

of the
old
downtown.

New windows
in the old
Jennings Building.

That was
our shoe store
long ago.

And a lovely
wrought iron
balcony
over my old
soda shop.

"The Building" is for sale.

It was Kresges when I was young.

It was Young Life last year.

The paper tells about the demolition.

But not about
the women
watching.

Back to home

I have promises to keep.

Load the dogs
in the
car...

And off to The Land...

Wow!

This is dog heaven!

Lots to explore!

...and work to do.

Marshall has a great time!

...while Koda plays
Hide and
Dog Seek.

There's so much to do!

-We're tired now, Mom.

Can we go home?

-That was great!

I can hardly drive home with all the panting in my ear.

- Can we do it again sometime?
