fill the trees...

A Thanksgiving

feast

for migrating birds.

The ground littered

with munchy nuts...

...the better

to feed

hungry critters.

Walnuts hang

like green Christmas

ornaments

of fall...

While the prairie grasses

dance

full of seeds

for wayward songbirds.

And goldenrods

sway

like lively

yellow

Christmas trees.













It's harvest time

for mankind...

...and animal-kind.

The trees

celebrate

with color

While people

celebrate...













...with scary faces.

time of year now.
