Getting ready for Christmas

Getting ready
for Christmas!

Shopping
for candy.

Good's -
the best chocolate
in the world!

Hand dipped
for 5 generations...

...soon
to be six!

Out to the garage.

Boxes
full of memories.

Me-me,
my grandmother,
worked on these ornaments
all the year long.

Each bead
Each ribbon
adorned with her love.

Even my lab
is getting
ready for Christmas.

Of course,
our ornaments
are unusual.

Test tubes
instead of tinsel.

Who would think
of reindeer pee
for decorations?

More traditional,
my family goes
to a tree farm
one mile from home.

Amazing
to find a
family tree farm
in the middle of Fishers!

Mr Yakey's
been growing trees here
before there was
a Fishers!

He lost
a lot of trees
in this year's drought.

But the ones
he has left
are beautiful!

We are greeted
by the
Christmas dogs.

These guys
love
the visitor
season.

It's rather cold.

But we are intrepid, yes?

...and we
have help.

I like this tree!

The snow
highlights it
perfectly!

TJ's not so sure.

- How about
this one?

KC likes it.

We all
agree
on a tree
at last!

Mr. Yakey,
can you dig
this one out?

We want
to replant it
after Christmas.

A final good-bye.

...until next year.

Back home
we see
KC's been
decorating!

My Mom
made
the kids' stockings.

Me- me
made mine.

Me-me
made
the Christmas rug, too.

Christmas
overflows
with memories...

...and makes
new ones
every year.

We will be
ready
for Christmas...
...

...but will Kitty?
