Bike Spring!

How
brief
the
Spring!

The
wildflowers
called
ephemerals.

A
day's
bloom....

so
precious....

then
fade...

as
tree
leaves....

shadow
the forest
floor.

I love
biking
in
spring!

Starting out
today
at
Jeffery Street...

Sun
reflections
on
flooded fields.

Bright
ribbon
country
roads.

Stop by
to visit
my rich
prairie.

Tall
grasses
home
to
myriads.

Seed heads
food
to
hungry
birds.

So much better
than
the flat dead
green
of lawn.

Trees
blooming.

Bright
catkins
enfloresce.

Whoops!

Gotta
watch
the road!

Take
break
overlooking
the
Blue River Valley.

Heading
back
home

Passing
charming
country
porches...

...with
trees
topped
so
many
years...

I call
them
New Castle
bonsai.

Politics
and
puddles.

I shake
my head.

There's
meaning
there.

Transition
to
Brixton...

...to
finish
my day....

biking
Indianapolis
neighborhoods.

More
flowers...

More
politics.

Everyone
is
out
today!

Joggers

Dog
walkers

Bluebirds

Land-
scapers

Fellow
bikers.

Blossom
smells
fill
the air!

Stop!

and
turn
left.

Lots
of
construction.

Lots
of
trash.

Look
at
the old
graveyard!

Spring
beauties
and
gravestones.

Tree
buds
praying.

Biking on.

I'm
not much
for the
neon green
lawn.

Hills?

I forgot
about
hills!

I haven't
biked a hill
since
October!

Can I
make it?

Hit
the
brakes!

Look
at that
front
yard!

I love it!

They
even have
trout lily!

Get rid
of that
danged
honeysuckle
and
bluegrass...

...and
see
what
you
can get!

And I
got
up
my hill!

Visit
my
friends...

He looks
like
an
elephant.

I bike
by
interesting
yard art...

He kinda
gives me
the
creeps!

What's
this?

Right
by
Indian
Creek!

Don't they know
trees gone =
mud
in river?

Mud
in river =

choked plants

low oxygen...

Dr Seuss The Lorax

gummy
fish
gills.

Getting
cloudy.

Bike on!

Watch out
for
big
dogs!

like
Ziva
here.

Cateye
zeroed out
again.

It doesn't want
me
measuring
miles
anymore.

Just
bike
for the
fun!

and
stop!

for
a
snack.

The wind
is
picking up!

I can
draft
behind
her!

or
him!

Spin
over
Geist
bridge...

Past
Holy Spirit.

I think
my niece
got married
here.

Nice
they
have a
sense
of humor.

OH
NO!

More
construction!

More
destruction!

Mud
muffles
the
puddles.

Trash
crushes
sweet
beauty.

Where
does
the debris
flow?

I
must
explore...

My shoes
aren't
made
for this...

A
lovely
little
creek...

soon
to
be
smuggered.

We
need
Sue
here!

Spring
beauty
must
be
cherished!

for
it
is
ephemeral!

like
youth...

and
strength

and
love!
